Jazz EnsemblePB&Jammin, Jazz Ensemble, a group of musicians and students performing a mixture of Jazz, Pop and specially arranged Big Band Charts. The band will showcase some of the music studio's most talented students, J.T. Trull, Sean Flannery, Matteo Davis, Nate Kimner, Julia Sherman, supporting them will be Peg, Jarred, Rudy, and others. Tubas, trombones, guitars, balafons, sax, accordion, piano and other exotic percussion blend into a whirlwind of swampy New Orleans-style rhythms that make dancing inescapable. Students at the High Mowing School in Wilton, they have been playing music together for three years as a duo and as part of the Gentlemen of Leisure band, which competed in Berkeley College of Music's battle of the bands in 2007. They are available for private parties and functions, 672-1744. |

Rob, Dick, and Peter, from Exeter and Peterborough, New Hampshire make up the trio. They each have long musical histories. Over the years they have played and sung in groups that opened for the Beach Boys, The Lettermen, and Pete Seeger. |

Rakes of the Milford Area, Celtic jigs, aires and reels!The "Rakes of the Milford Area" are a group of local musicians who play Celtic, French-Canadian, NE contra dance and American Old Timey music. The "Rakes" have performed for the past several years at the PLUS Company's "Wild Irish Breakfast" and the Milford K of C's "Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner." The "Rakes" meet at 7 p.m. at Foodee's (home of the best pizza!) on the first Wednesday of every month for a "seissun" which attracts listeners as well as musicians to join in a tune.
