The Pumpkin Festival officially opens!

 

Come down to the Oval and visit our Pumpkin Boutique.  The all new festival sweatshirts will be on sale.  Have a pumpkin for your porch?  Pumpkins sales begin.!  Purchase your ticket for a chance at the Ocean National Bank Raffle to win $500 or try your luck in the Weekend Warrior Raffle for a chance to win your choice of a Kubota BX1500 tractor or RTV900 or other great prizes.  Also open for business will be the Popcorn Stand and the ever popular Pie Booth as well as several other food vendors.

Pumpkin Runner & Town Hall Lighting

The Pumpkin Runner makes his much anticipated stop on the Oval to start the festivities.  How will he make his grand entrance this year?  Join festival lovers of all ages and Milford Fife and Drum in this official kick-off ceremony!

Haunted Trail

Back and better than ever!  Venture into this dark and spooky wood where spirits come to life and you never know what awaits you around the next bend.  Appropriate for anyone 5 years and older.  Admission: $5.

Pumpkin Trail

Pumpkin Trail is the Mayflower Hill Town Forest Trail.
Directions: Rt. 13 (Mont Vernon St.). Turn Right on to Myrtle St. Left onto Adams St. then next right on to Shady Lane. The "Mayflower Hill Town Forest" sign will be at the end of Shady Lane., on the left side of the road. You will also see the Trail Head parking sign and dirt road.

Bryan Thomas Trio Jazz

Drummer Bryan Thomas will be joined by pianist Ben Geyer and bassist Kevin Wyman to bring some live Jazz to the Milford Pumpkin Festival. Performing standards and jazz classics from the 50s and 60s with a modern touch the trio will provide lively improvisation and sweet ballads. Random Acts of Harmony
 performs throughout New England for large and small audiences who enjoy listening to and singing along with familiar folk tunes sung in three part harmony with acoustic guitar and stand up bass accompaniment. Rob, Dick, and Peter, from Exeter and Peterborough, New Hampshire make up the trio. They each have long musical histories. Over the years they have played and sung in groups that opened for the Beach Boys, The Lettermen, and Pete Seeger.

Rakes of the Milford Area
 Celtic jigs, aires and reels!

The "Rakes of the Milford Area" are a group of local musicians who play Celtic, French-Canadian, NE contra dance and American Old Timey music. The "Rakes" have performed for the past several years at the PLUS Company's "Wild Irish Breakfast" and the Milford K of C's "Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner." The "Rakes" meet at 7 p.m. at Foodee's (home of the best pizza!) on the first Wednesday of every month for a "seissun" which attracts listeners as well as musicians to join in a tune.
