Event: Milford Pumpkin Festival – Talent Show  Date: October 8th 2011

The Town of Milford, the Milford Main Street Program (DOIT) and the Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley, organizers and volunteers will not be responsible to any persons or individuals for damage to equipment or personal injury sustained by anyone through negligence of any person or group of persons.

I understand this release applies to all activities that pertain to the event.

Judges have been carefully selected.  All persons entering this event, accept these judges and agree to abide by their decision.  Protest upon other grounds, or against other than judges, must be made in writing on the same day in which protested action was taken, and given to the Executive Director of the Milford Main Street Program, who shall present such protest to the show officials.  Parties filing protest must deposit $100.00 to be forfeited if not vilified in the complaint.

It is understood that all participants cannot have performed professionally or received compensation for performing in the past. Any person making entry who is later found to have performed professionally will forfeit any winning position, and will be required to return any monies received for their winning.

There is a $5.00 non-refundable entry fee per act.

RULES

  1. Only individuals living in New Hampshire are eligible to enter.

  2. Contestants’ age limit is 10 years or older

  3. No Contestant will be considered if they do not attend audition and if ever received a fee for performing.

  4. Up to 20 finalists will be chosen at audition and will be entered for Talent Show Final.

  5. Limit - 1 number per entry and must not exceed 5 minutes. (Audition - 3 minutes)

  6. Contestants must use same act as auditioned.

  7. Contestants must furnish any equipment needed for their act for both Audition and Final Judging - if they place. A professional sound system will be furnished at Final Judging.

  8. No contestant may have live professional back up!!!!

  9. No tape may have the lead singer on it at all.  Background voices cannot exceed more than 50% of the tape. There must be ample time for judges to hear the contestants’ voice with absolutely no voice over.  Judges have final say on this ruling.

  10. Contestants may participate in one (1) act only.

  11. Contestant must score an average of 50 points at audition in order to participate in show.

  12. Please keep performance family oriented.  Organizers have sole discretion to refuse any act.

  13. Previous winners are not eligible to enter the same act with which they won.

  14. No instruments will be provided by the Organizers
