Pumpkin Carving & Community Lighting

Saturday October 8
Carve a pumpkin at our pumpkin carving table
on The Oval Saturday 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and
bring your creation to the community lighting @ 6PM on the Bandstand.
Every pumpkin brought to the lighting earns a raffle ticket for our drawing for a pumpkin carved by Jim Flis (samples on our home page).
Let's fill up the bandstand!

The Great Pumpkin Weigh-In will be 12 Noon on Saturday October 8th at The Oval. The ginormous pumpkins will be on display throughout the festival. Be sure to come by and check-out these beauties! We greatly appreciate the Kokko Family's dedication and time to continue this great tradition!

A host of local school, church and nonprofit groups will be offering fun activities for “kids” of all ages and some fine food & beverages. The Milford Rotary and Lions Clubs will be on the grills and serving up burgers, sausages and more!

The van will be parked on Union Street next door to the Union Street Grill.
Drop by to check-out the mobile clinic and chat with local healthcare providers!

Artisans and crafters galore along with some of the best-ever food trucks and concessions will be at The Milford Pumpkin Festival with booths set-up in the Town Hall Auditorium and along both sides of Middle Street.

Rubber Duck Race
Hosted by Milford Volunteer Ambulance Association
The rubber ducks will be racing their way down the Souhegan River once again!
Purchase your Ducks at the Milford Ambulance Service's Booth on Middle Street
(Town Hall side of the street at the overhead doors) starting on Friday at 5 pm and
ending on Sunday at 12 noon.
Duck Race down the Souhegan begins at Emerson Park on Sunday at 1PM.
Ducks are $5 for 1 or $20 for 5 Cash Prizes for the Winning Ducks!!
Proceeds benefit the Milford Volunteer Ambulance Association

Windows Around The Oval
As you stroll around downtown Milford be sure to enjoy the fantastic window art created by the Milford High School National Art Honor Society students under the leadership of their advisor Ms. Jessica Bouchard. Be sure to visit their booth on The Oval and check-out thier artistry as face painters over at the Community House Lawn!

Progressive Mural by Eric Escobar
What will Eric create this year? Famous for his large-scale live mural paintings, Eric has been creating a special piece for the Milford Pumpkin Festival since 2018. Visitors are invited to watch the progress and be part of the creative process. Be sure to stop by Station 101 starting Friday, October 7th and throughout the festival to see the art happening in real-time.

Come by and meet Sparky, check-out the fire trucks, and
learn more about fire safety and modern firefighting.
Milford History Walking Tour

Saturday or Sunday morning at 8:00 am or 9:30 am
Starting at the Carey House, 6 Union Street, this guided walk will take us around The Oval and nearby sights - we will share views of Milford’s past and find out stories behind the many treasured buildings of the past. Learn about the famous bank robbery of 1874, the historic “Swing Bridge", the Paul Revere Bell, and find out how Milford got its name!
Be prepared to walk for about an hour and enjoy the sights and stories of Milford.

The Flying Gravity Circus will be delighting the crowds with their fun, high energy strolling street performances on Saturday! They will be performing along Union Square near the Pasta Loft and the Union St/Elm St intersection.
Vietnam War Memorial Memorial Committee
During the Pumpkin Festival, please stop by the committee's booth at the World War II Memorial Park (beside Union St Grill) on Friday & Saturday to learn more about Milford's plan to honor Vietnam veterans.

Weather permitting on Friday and Saturday nights, Richard DeMidio will be bringing his telescopes down to the Keyes Memorial Park baseball field for viewing the night sky!!
